answer:
Ged.com files are not allowed on freepages.. but you can upload a ged.com to
world connect project then link from your freepages to it... freepages
computers are not set up with the software to read a gedcom file....

Reason is about the same as the pdf files no ads can be placed on the
pages.....

other files not allowed are usually ones that can cause more trouble then
they are worth or the servers used to support freepages are not set up for
them...
