I've tried the header/footer thing but it never worked right for me.
Besides, my contact information is only on a couple pages and that hasn't
changed in years [ since 1993 ]. If I'm adding information to some page it's
easy enough to just change the "Update" date manually. The biggest changes I
ever had to make is when I started migrating things from Geocities to
Freepages. Had to eliminate all the nasties that Geocities added to each
page then edit each Geocities page to transfer the searcher to Freepages in
case they got there through a bookmark or external link.
