Subject: Special Character Not Acceptable In Link
Date: Sat, 18 Feb 2006 18:03:25 -0500

I am attempting to place a link on my web site to my RootsMagic genealogy. However, it won't accept the "~" in the RootsMagic address. To be more specific, the address I'm referring to is http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~robertsmattison<http://freepages.genealogy.rootswebcom/~robertsmattison>;.

An entry in your help pages uses that character as an example of an absolute address. I assume that the "~" character represents a longer string of characters. Is that true? Can you provide a substitute string that is acceptable?

Thank you,
Ernest Roberts
