It has been a little while since I have had to ask for assistance. Maybe Pat or some other Computer expert can help.
Can any one tell me if I can back up my web site on a CD? I have this fear of losing all my info I have posted on my web site. (About 2 years ago, some lovely person sent me a virus, which wiped out my data base along with most of my computer memory) Is it possible to download the entire website?

My site is not as fancy as some, but it does have colored pages, documents, photos, etc., If I had to redo it would take for ever. Has any one ever had a web site crash, or do I have nothing to fear?

I saw Elsi's site listed. Mine might also prove helpful. Here's a direct
link to the SSI page:

Is there a web site that someone can recommend that explains server side
includes?
Is there one with info that particularly addresses root sweb & server
side includes?

FYI: I recently switched over to the AOL Browser. Since then I have had problems with the file upload utility. However when I switch back to IE then the FUU works fine.

Subject: Guestbook nightmare help request
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed
I've had my web page for several years and everythings worked well.
However, in a recent / insane computer house cleaning frenzy, I've
accidenally deleted the guestbook to one of my pages at:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~coleen/south_central_alaska.html
After all this time, I don't seem to have the html code to reproduce the
guestbook. Does anyone know how to get that code?
I have a link at the bottom of the above page that takes people to the
guestbook, but when I try click on the button that says "view guestbook
entries" I get a rootsweb message saying "Oops, there seems to be a problem
in the form you came from, this guestbook not on file".
The guestbooks title is: Southcentral Alaska Guest Book and has an ID# of
5445
I can go to the rootsweb site and I still find the guestbook in the edit
section (where you remove an unwanted guestbook entry), so I know the book
exists (it's existed and been used since 2004).
Any suggestions as to whats go ing on?
thanks

Have you tried AOL Explorer <http://downloads.channel.aol.com/browser>?
It is built on IE and should exhibit the same capabilities as that hoary
tool!
