Janis,

You don't say if you'll be using a program like Frontpage to write the html
code, or if you know how to do that. You can also use Rootsweb's Wizard to
write pages. Be sure to name your homepage either index.htm or index.html
Each folder you make should also have an index.htm / or html page.

Once you have pages written, you either need an ftp program, or again, you
can use the rootsweb's tools. If you use a program it almost does uploading
itself.

If you use rootsweb's file manager to upload, you'll need to first make your
folders, then click on each folder and upload those pages.

Could you write back to the List and let us know what programs you have?
Then someone will be able to advise you better.

The good thing is you won't be lost for long - soon you'll have lots of
pages up! Trust me--everyone started out not knowing web pages - or not
understanding rootsweb.
