1st reaction: Oh, no! The barbarians are no longer at the gates; they're
inside, raping and pillaging. Ethics and decency -- right & wrong -- have
been replaced by "what the web site owner wants" and "no .. inherent right
to privacy".

Thomas More: "And, having struck down all the laws, what will you do when
the Devil comes for you?" If history has any lesson it's that with power
comes responsibility to use it wisely.

2nd reaction: Maybe we State-siders should forgive our friend; perhaps,
we're too sensitive about defending our Bill of Rights (in which our Supreme
Court has found privacy rights).

3rd reaction: Fortunately, disregard for privacy rights (inherent or
implicit) is decidedly a minority view.
