Register your domain name one place and host it another. WHY? Cause
if you are unhappy with your host and they also have your domain name
associated with a package, you may have a difficult time moving.

For a register of domains, I can highly recommend nameCheap.com. If
you look, you can sometimes find a discount coupon. Current rate is
$9.29 for a year - most of the registrars just increased their
prices. All of my domains are registered with them except two.

For a host I can also recommend 1and1 (yes, I use them). Their Linux
package not their windows one. You can host multiple domains under
one account. They have a variety of packages they offer. The one I
use is $4.99 per year paid twice a year.
