When you apply for a FreePages account, there are several directories
available for you to use. You may choose to only use one of them
genealogy_html or you may use all of them . One of the directories is
school-alumni_html which she would have been free to use.

You apply for an account. Once you have it, then you can use any or
all of the directories. But you will not be granted another account
for a different user name.

Example -

My url is http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~gearyfamily/

It happens to be the only directory I use but I could also have the url

http://freepages.school-alumni.rootsweb.com/~gearyfamily/ which
would house a completely different site
or http://freepages.history.rootsweb.com/~gearyfamily/ which could
house another site.

Some of us use only one, some may use all of their choices.
