Hi Debbie,

I'm not sure what you mean by "my notebook", but the quoted text was
taken from somebody's style sheet (CSS). Where or how you got that
when dragging and dropping, I have no idea.

To copy a file from My Computer to the FTP (Explorer) connection
using your browser window, hold down the left mouse button while
dragging the file. That is COPY (the icon will show the +
sign). You can also highlight the file name in your My Computer
window, use the Copy command, then place your cursor in the browser
window, right click and Paste.

That said, IE7 does seem to have some issues with FTP using any FTP
client or method. It appears to be a security issue, but I have not
seen a one size fits all answer.
Check to be sure you have configured Norton Security to allow file
transfers ( the Freepages server needs to be able to access your
computer to copy the file.
Check IE7 Advanced Internet Options for FTP folder view, etc. and
access for "trusted" sites.
Be sure you are not running a Norton firewall and Windows firewall
simultaneously. Use one or the other, but not both at the same time
as they can conflict :)

If you still have problems, talk to Microsoft tech support. They
have some kb articles that may be on target for your particular
system configuration.
