Gordon,

It is not clear if you are publishing to the RootsWeb FreePages, but I can only assume so since you joined this list.

In recent days the FreePages server was changed and now requires Passive FTP.

If your publishing program does not allow for publishing with Passive FTP then you will have to use one of the free FTP programs like FileZilla.

Here are some instructions that were posted by Barry Carlson earlier today:

http://freepages.misc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~bristowe/filezilla/

Just download the program and follow the instructions.

If this is not the problem, then be sure to write back to the list.

Good luck.

I have just joined this list in the hope someone can shed light on a problem
I have come up against
I have been using a programme called NetObjectsFusion [for some 10 years
now] which produces a site I have for Darfield.
There is an automatic uploading sequence with this which I have always used.
This week I went to upload an revised edition of my site, but it has made my
site contents disappear from the server completely.
The programme opens a connection successfully but the percentage indicator
remains at zero.
I have re-installed the programme with no effect.

The configuration is the same as it always was, with the genealogy
sub-folder.

Anyone any ideas please
Gordon Warrington
