When I try to open my freepages ftp site in Internet Explorer, I get an error
message that the ftp site is read-only, because my proxy server is not set to
allow access to the site.

What and where is my proxy server, and how do I set it to allow access? I
haven't had this problem before.

I am using Verizon broadband, and to my knowledge have not made in changes in
the way I am connected.
