The YES / NO counter is now in its final form at:-

http://freepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~bristowe/form/counter/count.html?

1.. A Cookie has been used to prevent multiple voting.
2.. A variation of the "document.anchors.length" method is used
to count the YES or NO votes. In fact it is counting the <z>
tag! In XML anything inside <> is a valid tag.
3.. The Mail Merge form has been modified to use a tinyurl.com
url to return to the Previous Page.
4.. Use of the IP Address to prevent multiple voting is possible,
but the current 4 part IPs, e.g. 121.73.175.141 are now being
supplemented using 6 parts. This makes the parsing more
difficult, though it is possible just to parse for the last part,
which for this use is all that is probably needed. I'll think a
little more on this, and if I come up with a suitable method
I'll let you know.
