Ian,

BUT, as Pat G. had already answered, Freepages does not allow the upload of
zip files, no matter the content. So it is irrelevant whether zip files
decreases the size by 50%.

With free Filezilla, I was offering an alternative of a program that quickly
ftps large sites.
