Where did you type your sample web page? The online editor? what did
you name it? Did you save it?
The email you were sent from freepages had your username and
password. The password is caSE SEnsitive. Did you copy and paste it
into the freepages file manager? If ys, then make sure there are no
extra spaces.

sign in to your freepages account here
http://freepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/fileman/

if it is not accepting your username and password then it is probably
something you are doing wrong - adding extra spaces or not using the
case sensitive password you were sent.

When you say you cannot find it, do you mean by using the url of your
space which will look something like
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~gearyfamily/

where genealogy could be one of the other communities and
~gearyfamily is YOUR username.

like
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~garnerfamily/
which shows there are no files as yet.

The name of the file you need to upload or save to this directory,
should be index.html or index.htm.
