I don't think anything about using misc_html was
"official".
Except you don't need misc_html in the url

So my site has a misc_html which I use in email etc

http://freepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~lankshear/

And this then has links to genealogy etc

but many people do use URL with genealogy directly
