Hi Halsey,
I think what you need to do is to contact the folks at Ancestry and tell them what is happening.
Until some kind of resolution is worked out, I suggest using another browser when searching at Ancestry or reverting to IE8 until it is resolved.

Subject: [FreeHelp] IE9beta problem
?Hi Folks: I know that this is the wrong place to post this, but I don't know where else to post it.
I am using Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 9 beta. Mostly IE9 works fine, but I've encountered a problem accessing the old search from the "go to old search" link on the new search page at search/ancestry.com/search .
The new search is at:
http://search.ancestry.com/search/default.aspx?
and the old search is at:
http://search.ancestry.com/search/default.aspx?new=0
IE9 beta stops to load that link, then strips the new=0 part off, reverting the page back to the new search page. If I manually enter the link, the same thing happens.
I cannot fathom why this is happening. Does anyone know how to fix this? [I find the new search at ancestry to be totally incomprehensible.]
Halsey
