I am going to use my other communities on my RW account. So if I understand correctly, each "community" is like a separate site?

My current home:

So, I am going to set up a launch type page to be a hub to all the other information/data. It will be here:

(Which is really: http://freepages.misc.rootsweb.com/~familytwigs/)

This page will connect to other section/communities like:

http://freepages.school-alumni.rootsweb.com/~familytwigs/
http://freepages.military.rootsweb.com/~familytwigs/

My question is, will a search engine, such as freefind treat each one as part of the whole, or will it only search one community? Same with a StatCounter?
Will each community need a separate search?
