1. Never, Never open a file if you do not know the sender. Even then it
could have a virus attached if your friend has a virus.

2. Always, Always run a virus program such as Norton or McAfee.

3. If you think you want to see the attachment then download it to your a:/
drive on disk and then run it through your Virus program.

Those are the safest ways. There are other ways for more experienced nerds.
