Does anyone remember a bear at a "filling" station that would drink from a
bottle -- maybe Orange Crush. I think the bear was chained. My dad would
take us to see this bear, and in the town, the street had a dip; when you
drove kind of fast, you got the butterflies in your stomach. I think the
town might have been Tifton or Griffin or Fitzgerald but I really don't
know. This was in the 1940's. We lived in Nashville. In the meantime, if
you have any information on Griffin, Ray, Cribb and Singletary I would like
to share info. I would really like to correspond with Singletary,
Kale/Cale, Evans, Smith and Bohannon descendants from Pulaski County.
