Funeral Services For Mrs. J. E. Smith
Mrs. Nellie Kahn Smith, 82, died Friday morning at Hill Top Nursing
Home. She was the widow of the late Mr. J. E. (Pat) Smith of Redbone.
Mrs. Smith was born in Bibb County, but had made her home in Lamar County
for a number of years.
Mrs. Smith is survived by four daughters, Mrs. G. A. Tharpe, Sr., and
Mrs. E. D. Driskell, both of Barnesville, Mrs. Hazel R. Sexton of
Indianapolis, Ind., and Mrs. A. C. Chelf of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sons, Dennis
Smith of Jacksonville, Fla., and Daniel C. Smith of Barnesville; a half-
sister, Mrs. Edna Knight; 30 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the
Ramah Primitive Baptist Church. Elder D. O. Payne and Elder Guy Smith
officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Hubbard Funeral Home of Barnesville was in charge of arrangements.
