Subject: Need help on research - WILLIAM ASHLEY
Date: Fri, 3 Sep 1999 07:59:02 -0500

I am researching the family of WILLIAM ASHLEY who was Register of Probates,
Camden County, 1788, Commissioner Camden County Academy, November 6, 1801
and Commissioner to select seat of and erect public buildings of Camden
County, June 11, 1802. In 1831, he was in the House of Representatives.

This particular WILLIAM ASHLEY was or/ had been married to Miss Mary Jane
Morford of New Jersey. If anyone has access to a "History of Camden
County" and/or other resource book that might provide information on this
particular William, I would greatly appreciate your help.

There seems to be two (2) William Ashley(s) in Camden County during this
period of time and while I believe this one to be the son of the other, I
have no definite proof at this time. Any insight you can provide would be
a big help in my research as I do not have access to any of the resource
books available.

Jane
