I am researching Echols family of this area around 1880 (they were in this counties census). James and Caroline moved from Alabama around 1874 and according to 1880 census Caroline was widowed. I believe their oldest child Fannie had child (named Cora) by man with last name of Hoard around 1888 possibly around Rome (Floyd County.) Georgia. Any info at at is appreciated.
