Searching for the father of Eli LANDERS. Eli is my ggggrandfather. Eli was
born abt. 1809 in South Carolina. He married Margaret MCREE Aug. 8, 1833 in
Clarke Co. In 1840 census he was living in Walton Co. GA. In 1870 census he
was living in Gwinnett Co.GA.
Possibility that Eli's father is Matthew Landers. A Matthew Landers is listed
in the 1830 census of Clarke Co. By 1840 he is missing. I also have land
records of a Richard Landers dated in 1833 and a land record of Benjamin
Landers dated 1833.
Any information on these people would be appreciated.
