I don't have any confirmation of your hypothesis, but my ancestors followed almost the same path from Clarke Co. to Randolph Co., AL. Indeed, I have found many families from Clarke who moved to Carroll/Troup/Coweta and then to Randolph. This migration pattern seems pretty well established. Sorry I don't have any specific information on the Holloways, but good hunting!
