There was a Larry R. Ricks that married Mary McDonald. Some of their children were Larry Ricks, Samuel Thompson Ricks, Gideon Williams Ricks, John A. Ricks, Mary Elizabeth Ricks. They lived in the counties of Newton, Jasper and Henry County. This Larry R. Ricks was the son of Larry Ricks and Ellender Maiz. I know their were other children also. Mary McDonald was the sister of my ancestor, Margaret McCloud McDonald who married the Rev. Andrew Jackson McElroy. Don't know whether this helps or not. Hope so. Let me know if I can be of further help. Would like to know more about Larry R. Ricks and Mary McDonald.
