The husband of Anna Gray was named George Gray, not Andrew as appears in an abstract of her will. The Executor of Anna Gray's will, Jeremiah Smith, was the brother of Rachel Smith, wife of Anna's son William. A Prommissory Note recorded 27 February 1820 in Clarke County Court between Rachel Gray, wife of William Gray, and "Jeremiah Smith of Jasper County" is doubtless the connection to Dr. Griffin Smith who died in Baldwin County in 1819. Brothers Jeremiah, Rolling (Rolin), Bolling (Bolin), and Moses all settled in Jasper County when the county was formed. See the database named "wksmith" on World Connect Project or Ancestry.com. Search on Griffin Smith - there's only a few.
