I am researching Sims families in early Clarke County, GA. I am
specifically looking for information on a James Sims, whom I believe may
be my great-great-great-grandfather. The 1840 Census for Clarke County
shows a James Simmes who would be the right age.

The 1850 Census for Clarke County, Wild Cat District, shows the
following family:
James Sims, age 80, born VA
Nancy Sims, age 75, born VA
Mary Sims, age 30 born GA
James Sims, age 8, born GA
John Sims, age 6, born GA
Mary Sims, age 4, born GA
Martha Hinsley, age 25, born GA
Thomas Hinsley, age 1, born GA

Does anyone have the genealogical information on this Sims family or
other Sims families in early Clarke County, GA who may be related?
