F.C. Barrow + W.L. Childs To W.G. Gann (“Mrs. Florrie” written in above W.G.)
State of Ga. Clarke County
This indenture made and entered into this 24th day of Sept. in the year of our
Lord, One Thousand Nine Hundred and Three, between Francis C. Barrow and Walter
L. Childs of the County of Clarke of the one part and Mrs. Florrie Gann of the
County of Clarke of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Francis C. Barrow
and Walter L. Childs for and in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred and
Fifty and no/100 ($250.00) in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery
of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted,
bargained, sold, aliened, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do grant,
bargain, sell, alien, convey and confirm unto the said Mrs. Florrie Gann her
heirs and assigns, all that lot or parcel of land in the City of Athens, County
of Clarke, State of Ga., being a part of the land belonging to the estate of
A.K. Childs bounded as follows: Beginning at a stone on Barrow Street which
stone is the South East corner of the lot bought by Misses Hale, and running
along said Barrow Street one hundred (100) feet to North East corner of lot of
Misses Hale thence S 20 degrees E. two hundred sixteen (216) feet along the line
of Misses Hale to the beginning corner, containing one half acre more or less.
To have and to hold the said described property with all and singular the
rights, members, and appurtenances thereunto appertaining to the only proper
use, benefit, and be hoof of her the said Mrs. Florrie Gann her heirs,
administrators, executors, and assigns against the said Francis C. Barrow and
Walter L. Childs their heirs, administrators and executors and against all and
every other person or persons shall and will warrant and forever defend by
virtue of these presents. In witness whereof the said Francis L. Barrow and
Walter L. Childs hereunto set their hands, affixed their seals and delivered
these presents the day and year first above written
