Not having much luck here, either.

The Cobb marriage book says that William Copeland's wife was Sarah Teal, but I don't find a record that any of their children married in Cobb. They may have moved out of the county prior to the 1900 census.

The 1870 Cobb census gives:
1870 Cobb County, Georgia - Marietta District - PO Marietta - August 4, 1870 - page 282
1213 - Copling, William J., age 26; drives wagon; born GA
Sarah, age 27; keeping house; born GA
Adeline, age 1; born GA

and 1860:
1860 Cobb County, Georgia - Town District - PO Marietta - June 18, 1860 - page 266
317 - Reubin Copeland, age 58; farmer; $300/100; born GA
Lucinda, age 38; born SC
T. H. H., age 17, male; farm labor; born GA
WILLIAM, age 16; farm labor; born GA
Solomon, age 14; born GA
Elizabeth, age 11; born GA
Elizabeth Guff, age 80; born SC

There's a William Copeland shown enumerated in 1900 and 1910 Marietta who is a bit older than the one above; shown as a widower in 1900 and married a second time for 5 years in 1910. That one was a brick mason, but no way of knowing if it's the same fellow. The 1900 census for the section of Cobb County where they were living in 1880 and earlier is so faded that I am not able to read it. It is certainly possible that they were there and enumerated, but not indexed.

I also don't find any of these folks with marked graves in the Cobb Cemeteries books and no mention of them in any of my death notice collections.
