I'll see if I can locate any additional information on Ganner. I have "A Survey of Cemeteries Cook County, Georgia", and that was how I was able to provide the information regarding the gravesites. Ganner would have been 90 in 2003, so there is a possibility that he is either still living or passed away after the book was published in 2000. Other than that, I don't have any additional information, but I'll see if I can discover anything else for you.

As for Berrien County, I'm primarily referring to the town of Nashville. I should have access to a compilation listing people who are buried in the cemeteries in Berrien county very soon, and I can check it for any Merritts who are buried there. See, there's a cemetery just across the Berrien/Cook County line called Longbridge Cemetery. Even though Longbridge is technically in Berrien County, a great number of the people who are buried there were from Cook county, like the Martin side of my husband's family, but since it's in Berrien County, that cemetery isn't listed in "A Survey of Cemeteries Cook County, Georgia".

There's a very strong possibility that there may be more of the Merritt family buried there. As soon as I get the book for the cemeteries in Berrien county, I'll search it for you.

I hope this helps!

Angi
