I posted this information for someone else on the board, but for your information, in the 1860 census there is a John William Jones living next to Henry E. and Mary Ann Cox Jones. John William is 18 years older than Henry, so he could possibly be Henry's father, or he could be an older brother. I vote for father. Also shown in that page are Henry E. wife, Mary Ann Cox Jones and their son, John William Jones. I believe they were in Americus at that time. Both Henry and Mary died within five years, and while there is some question about Henry being killed in the Civil War, it could have been disease which killed both of them close to the same time. I have seen no record of the deaths, nor any information about the possibility of disease causing their deaths.
