State of Georgia, Coweta County

You are hereby authorized and permitted to join in the Honorable State of
Matrimony Samuel Nixon and Sarah E. Higgins according to the Rites of your
church, provided there be no lawful cause to obstruct the same, according to
the Constitution and Laws of this State, and for doing this shall be your
sufficient License.

Given under my hand and seal This Eighteenth day of January, 1860.

To any Minister of the Gospel, Judge, Justice of the Peace, Justice of the
Inferior Court, to celebrate.

I hearby Certify that Samuel Nixon and Sarah E. Higgins were joined
together in the Holy Bans of Matrimony, on the Nineteenth day of January 1860,
by me.

the above marriage license and certificate thereon of Samuel Nixon and Sarah E.
Higgins, is a true and correct copy from the Marriage Records in the Ordinary's
office of said County.

Additional Comments:
Sallie was the 2nd wife of Samuel; his first wife was her older sister, Mary
Jane Higgins, daughters of Newton Higgins & Dicy Bailey.

Samuel was the son of Joseph Nixon & Martha "Patsey" Ward.
