The Georgia Enterprise, April 14, 1892
Mr. James HAY, a most excellent and worthy citizen of Newton County, died
at his home near Winton, on April 6. Aged about 64 years. He was the father of
Constable Samuel HAY, of Brick Store district. He was an honest man, kind of
heart and generous in all his dealings with his fellow-men. He leaves many
loved ones to mourn his death.
