Barabara,

We are here for you, please don't give up. If you need some ideas, I
believe there are enough of us here to collect our thoughts and perhaps give
some ideas on ideas to help you.

Since we don't know how much you have done on your research, I must ask a
few questions.

Have you located your immediate family on the 1920 census, and then gone
back for each census before that to locate where they are? If you have not
already done this, you may be surprised at the amount of information you can
obtain from a census report. It all depends on the census taker getting the
information. While it is more difficult to research women as their names
change when getting married, it is still possible to do so.

Please, every one, if you have problems, this is the perfect place to post
your research areas and the problems you are having. We discuss genealogy
here, and helping each other is the main purpose of this list. We gather
here to discuss and share, and that includes our problems and brick walls.

I do suggest we all take advantage of all that Roots provides for us,
including the various posting boards on our Gaddis site. Let's try to make
it a goal to add something to each of the boards Patty has provided for us
so we can collectively find our families.

Good luck,

Jo Autrey
