Hello everyone,

Thought I'd let you know about an update on our indexing system. Rather
than only being able to do a search of the entire webpage, you now also
have the option to do a search of the Family Groups only, Name Index only
or the LDSIGI files only.

If you go to the main page
<http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~gaddis/>; and down to the Search
box, you will see a new box to the left of the Search button. This has a
pull down menu option that you can select from the following:

Search Our Site
Search Name Index only
Search Family Groups only
Search LDS IGI Files only

Type in what you want to search for in the far left box, select which place
you want to search in the next box and then click on the Search button.
You can always use the Help link for additional search tips.

I realized I hadn't indexed the site in a long time and found this new
feature available.

So, if you haven't been to the webpage lately, you might want to go try it
out. And, remember, doing a search of "Gaddis" is going to give you every
page, since the word Gaddis is on every page. Also, it would be best to do
a search of a first name only. Rather than "Ralph Gaddis", search just
"Ralph". This way you don't have to account for all variant spellings of
the Gaddis name. You can use the box under your search criteria to narrow
down what you want to search.

Search ANY word
Search ALL words
Search EXACT phrase

Nothing new has been added to the page recently. Just hasn't been time.
I'm hoping to start on that again soon. But, if you had only been using
the search engine to check if something was on our pages, you might want to
try it again.
