SYLVIA MAYFIELD

Sylvia Marie Mayfield, 72, 1108 W. Main, died Tuesday at Bethesda Nursing
Home.

She was born in Dawson, Mo., the daughter of Shedrick and Ida Gaddis. In
1924 she married Arlie Mayfield in Mountain Grove, Mo. He died July 24,
1978. They came to this area in the 1920s and moved into Chanute in the
early 1930s.

She was a member of the Assemblies of God.

Survivors include a daughter, Geneva Hall, 721 S. Lafayette; two grandchildren;
two sisters, Bertha Mayfield, 120 S. Kansas, and Ruby Underwood, Augusta;
a brother Ursie Gaddis, Lake Elsinor, Calif.

Gibson-Koch Chapel will announce funeral arrangements.
