Thank you for replying! Like you, I haven't been working on genealogy for quite some time -- other activities were demanding too much attention and I've had to put a lot of things aside. Anyway, Elizabeth GADDIS is at the top of my To-Do list but I'm still limited on time.

I'm very glad to receive any information on GADDIS' who were in Cherokee CO, GA especially ones who also migrated on over to AL. Will definitely keep your Linden/Lyndon in mind when searching for my Elizabeth.

One thing -- and this is a longshot but am compelled to ask -- my grandfather's name was Iro R. HUNT. He was the youngest son of my g-grandparents. I have his father, Andrew Jackson HUNT's family pretty well filled out and also his mother's family, (Mary Elizabeth LOVEJOY). Neither the HUNTs or the LOVEJOYs have any family members that I've run across, named Iro. (Seems to be a very unusual name). Are you aware of any GADDIS' using "Iro" as a given name?

Quite possibly your Elizabeth is related to my ancestor...Linden Gaddis b.
abt 1820 NC (probably Randolph Co.).

Linden/Lyndon married in 1845 Cherokee Co., GA. I believe he is related to
the Gaddis family who lived in Habersham Co., GA and probably lived there
before moving to Cherokee Co., GA. Linden's bride was Emily
Dickinson/Dickerson whoose parents lived in Habersham Co., GA before moving
to Cherokee Co. and later on to Marion Co., AL.

I don't have documentation and haven't been working on my genealogy much
recently. However, I thought you might want to keep this in mind as you do
your research. I will keep your information with my file in case I find
anything.
