Hi Patty & All,

I have sort of lost track of the more recent developments in our G-
Families Groups definition.

Since the info below came from a message board, I am wondering if
this 1839 Ontario Group of Gaddis/Geddes is defined as one of our 40
or so Groups? Maybe a couple of those already defined derive from
these folks from Fermanaugh?

70 pages of family info is quite an asset!

I am just beginning to research the Gaddis (Geddes) clan that came to
Ontario in 1839. In my records I have a Reverend James H. Gaddis B
1806 and his brother Adam B 1811 both born near Enniskillen, County
Fermanaugh, Ireland. Both came to the Kemptville area of Ontario
before eventually settling down near Kincardine, Ontario. James H
died Jan 8, 1892 and is buried in Kincardine cemetery. He married
Mary Wiley B 1808 in Ireland D Apr 20, 1896 in Kincardine. They had
the following children: William B Oct 1837, John 1838, Dianah B Jan
25, 1839, Catherine B 1848, James B 1850, Duria B 1852, Mary Jane
B 1854.

I believe there must be a common connection here somewhere and
would like to compare notes a little further. The Gaddis clan is on my
wife's side of the family. I have a 70 page history compiled by her
elderly aunt listing the Gaddis ( mostly Geddes) familes in and around
Kincardine, Ontario.
