MARK, Your information matches mine. I think i must be related to your wife somewhere along the line.
My line goes as follows:
John Gaddis (about 1775-1850) married Dina Bracken
Their 5th child,
James Gaddis (1808-1892) married Mary Wiley (1811-1896),
these two emigrated to Canada in 1839 and their first child was,
William (1837-1925)married Sarah Carson (1842-1880)
Their 4th child-Thomas (1866-1948, my grandfather) married twice, first to Emma Welsh (1877 1910 my grandmother), then his 2nd marriage to Ermina Cremp.
Thomas and Emma had two sons, Thomas Bryant (1904-1965)and George William. I am the third child, only daughter, of Thomas Bryant. All the information I have regarding Eniskillin and Kincardine matches with yours. William's father, Rev. James Gaddis was one of the early circuit riders of the Methodist Church from 1852-1965 and then settled on a farm in Kincardine township. My grandfather Thomas and all his brothers were the ones who messed with the spelling of the name and my family has always been spelled Gaddes.
I hope you can understand all this. write back and let me know how your wife's family fits in. Best regards, Lois
