Subject: [GADECATU] Statement?

What part of what I wrote do you consider to be a "statement" and what
"verification" would you consider to constitute "proof"? Frankly, much
of my information back to the Civil War comes from family oral history,
some of which was transmitted from people now long dead and therefore
unable to provide "verification". The rest comes from records which can
be cited, but you have to accept the oral history to some degree to get
back to the documented stuff. Or is that not what you are talking
about...?
