March 24, 1927--Early COunty News
The old factory, an Early County Landmark out near the Chattahoochee, was destroyed by fire March 17, 1927, having caught fire by fire put out by woods burners. The old factory was erected before the Civil War by The Early County Manufacturing Co. A company of local citizens who operated it for some years after the war, spinning a high class of yarns.......actual yarns, not tales......Joan Herndon--04/12/2002
