James H. Barrett (b~1857) was the possibly the son of William and Martha
Barrett in the 1860 census Forsyth County, William is 57 and blind.
Martha is 49 and born in VA. Other family members in the household are
Virginia Francis H. (18y), Alferd W. (17y), William A. (18y), Nancy J.
(10y), Marrias (8y), and James H. (3y). In 1880 James is head of
household, age 23, living in Hightower FC with wife Sarah E. age 19.
Sarah Elizabeth (1858-1891) who is buried at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in
Forsyth Co. James was a preacher, ordained Dec. 1886 at Mt. Tabor, he
served as pastor of Mt. Tabor from 1888-1890. In 1884 his address is
listed as Barrettsville. In Garland's Vol. II, James is listed as the
postmaster of Omega(near Matt) on Dec. 19, 1893. I also find a FC
marriage record for J. H. Barrett and Minnie McBrayer on July 18, 1892.

Can anyone confirm this is the correct family, if James had any
children, when he died, where he is buried, if this is him married to
Minnie McBrayer? I would greatly appreciate any help.

Wanda
