Thomas and Yamky Payne to Thomas White, 18 March 1789

[The first name of the wife of Thomas Payne is spelled a variety of ways in
other records, including Yanake, Yannaky, Yannikee, Yannakee, and Yanaca.
Here, the clerk has omitted one syllable of the name and put an "M" in the
middle, rather than the "N" or "NN" that typically appears there.]

[The page on which this deed is located was originally numbered as folio 32.
The clerk at some point renumbered the pages, so that "31b" now appears as its
page number.]

[Below the signature block is a simple drawing of the boundaries of the 106
acre tract being sold to Thomas White.]

[The phrase, "Interlined before assigned," apparently refers to the
name "White," which was mistakenly written and then lined through.]
