Just wanted to pass along this information -

Mr. Michael Hitt (expert on Ferries and River Crossings in Georgia) is going
to do a presentation on Saturday May 4th at 10:00 a.m. - (reservations
requested) - at the Roswell Regional Library - 115 Norcross Street -
Roswell, GA 30075 Phone: 770-640-3075 Its free and open to the public.

Also on April 27th - 10:00 a.m. Professor Kent Leslie of Agnes Scott College
will talk about her biography of Amanda America Dickson 1849-1893 -- Ms.
Dickson of Hancock County was the daughter of a white planter and his
mother's black slave. At her father's death she inherited most of his estate
and fought all the way to the Georgia Supreme court to keep it.
