Hello GAFULTON Listers,
I'm just getting started here, and am looking for info re my g-grandfather:
Benjamin Franklin Guest. He was a Georgia native, probably Fulton Cty, and/or
Americus.
He lived in South Carolina, in Greer, dying there January, 24th, 1950. His
daughter, Susie Rebecca, amrried my paternal grandfather, Benjamin Franklin(!)
Crenshaw...
His obit in the Spartanburg (Cty) Herald said that his body was 'transported'
back to Americus, to lie beside his wife (A wiseman) who dies 10 years before
(1940).
10 years ago, in 1992, I DO know that "Cousin Mack" and his spouse Mamie, lived
in Americus. I drove my mom there to see them, but alas, was sadly uninterested in
genealogy at that time. Dumb me!
Eventually I'll drive back down there again to research these things, but in the
meantime, does anyone have any info about these folks? I'll certainly return more
info if needed for YOUR searches!
Thanks in advance,
Gene Crenshaw
