Mr. Joub Greenwood, baggage master on the Arlington Railroad, was
consierable bruised on Monday by jumping off a moving train.
A brilliant masquerade came off at the residence of Col. Titt a few nights
since. Col T. J. Perry, senator elect from the 9th district, has recovered
from his late injury, and is now in fine health and spirits.
A gentlemen named Freeman was knocked down and robbed of all his personal
goods by some highwaymen on Monday night.
There is an organized band of negro thieves near Albany.
Albany.
Camilla - A negro named Simpson was recently cut by some party and will
probably die of his wounds. The city canvass waxes hot. Only ten
candidates for mayor, as yet. Enterprise.
Savannah - Savannah was visited by a heavy thunderstorm on Thursday. Two of
the alleged counterfeiters have been released. The other is still in
custody. At the recent county election the independent candidates for tax
receiver, tax collector, and sheriff were elected over the regular nominee.
The body of Samuel Evans, a british sailor, who was drowned on Christmas
night, has floated ashore. Two sailors, ......

One of these wives is reportedly buried with him at
Bethel Cemetery.

d 31 July 1936
Fulton County.
( Campbell County became Fulton Cty. 1 Jan 1932)
The grandparents of M. J. Derrick are buried there in Bethel also,
however, I will have to get the info and send it along.

In re to the archives - For those of you that wish to know about the daily
