The Jacksonville Genealogial Society will hold their monthly meeting, May 20, 2006, at 1:30 p.m. at the Webb-Wesconnett Library, 6887 103rd Street, Jacksonville, Florida. We are very pleased to have as our speaker, Ms. Holly Beasley, who will be presenting a slideshow entitled "500 Years at the Beaches." The program will figuratively walk the listerner through history; beginning with an overview of northeast Florida--the Timucua, the coming colonial powers, and the fledgling state government, to a candid look at each of the six communities we represent today.
