I saw your query about Harmon Holt of Halifax Co., NC. You mentioned a James and Jane Holt of Greene County, GA. I have no record of Harmon Holt being a relative of James and Janes Stanfield Holt, formerly of Halifax County, Virginia. There is a possible connection through another branch of the family but not James and Jane Holt. I am a direct descendant of James and Jane Holt. Also, Ms. Lawton is related to James and Jane Stanfield Holt.
