I found a deed for the sale of 400 acres, belonging to William Jones. It stated that it was sold after his death in 1873. It said that "....all that tract or parcel of land whereon William Jones deceased lived lying in Hall & banks Counties on the L_i_estone Road, joining T.C. Bell...."
On the deed where he *purchased* the land it stated that the "land and being in said county (Hall) on the waters of the North Oconee begining at a post oak...."
I could not find that the North Oconee was anywhere near Banks/Hall Co..
Any help here?
