My research in Jasper Co, GA involves the following individuals who
lived in or near Monticello in the early 1800's.

1814.
Letters unclaimed in Monticello Postoffice 1 Apr 1836: Jesse

Jesse Loyall had brothers John and Richard Loyal. Jesse continued to
live in Jasper Co where he served in several state and county
positions. 18 June 1844, the Grand Jury list for April Term is
signed by Jesse Loyall. My gggrandfather, Charles Baker,
married Margaret Frances "Peggy" Loyal, sister to Jesse and John
Loyall. Charles Baker served in the War of 1812 and the Indian Wars
with Jesse and John Loyal.
I would appreciate ANY information about the family lineage,
cemeteries, churches or plantation locations for the families of
Baker, Loyal and McClendon. Is the courthouse located in Monticello?
What is the location of the courthouse in Baldwin County? Does
anyone have access to the old records of Jasper County? I am planning
a fall trip to Atlanta,-- then on to Jasper County. I really need a
few clues to research my family in Jasper County. Thanks! Elizabeth
Baker
